Brooke Dockyard Industrial Heritage Museum

Built in 1908 and opened in 1912, the Brooke Dockyard is the oldest shipyard in Sarawak and Malaysia. It originally served the Rajah’s vessels before expanding into ship repair, oil and gas support and engineering training, making it Kuching’s first industrial workplace.

Today, it stands as an Industrial Heritage Museum featuring themed galleries, original dockyard machinery and a replica of the HHY Zahora, showcasing the enduring legacy of Sarawak’s industrial past.
