Sarawak Museum Department Director's Mandate Ceremony 2026
Thursday, 29 January 2026 – The Sarawak Museum Department organised the 2026 Sarawak Museum Department Director's Mandate Ceremony which took place at the Auditorium, Borneo Cultures Museum.
The ceremony began with the presentation of the mandate by Mrs. Nancy Hj Jolhi, Director of the Sarawak Museum Department, which outlined the vision, targets and direction of the department for the year 2026. The ceremony was also followed by the recitation of the pledge by all officers as a sign of commitment and commitment to carrying out responsibilities and strengthening a work culture of integrity.
Mr. Mohamad Ariff Azahari or better known as Coach Ariff was also invited to deliver a motivational talk entitled "One Team, One Purpose, One Future" which aimed to inject enthusiasm, inspire and increase motivation among JMS employees.
In addition, the ceremony was also enlivened by a singing performance by the JASAMU Club Band consisting of JMS employees. This Mandate Ceremony was attended by all staff of the Sarawak Museum Department, including those in the Central Zone and the Northern Zone, either physically present or following online via Zoom. It is hoped that the organization of this event can be a catalyst for continued efforts in strengthening the services and excellence of the Sarawak Museum Department.
Please be informed that all museums and forts under the administration of the Sarawak Museums Department will be closed on 17 February 2026 (Tuesday) in conjunction with the Chinese New Year Celebration and will reopen to the public on 18 February 2026 (Wednesday). Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted.
