Heritage Talk Program: Conservation and Preservation of Heritage Buildings
Monday, 23 June 2025 - The Sarawak Museum Department has held a Heritage Talk Program: Conservation and Preservation of Heritage Buildings involving the participation of participants from UNIMAS, UiTM and Kuching Polytechnic. This program aims to raise awareness among the younger generation about the importance of preserving and conserving heritage buildings which are part of the state's historical identity. Among the main contents are talks related to heritage building conservation efforts and a briefing on the Sarawak Heritage Ordinance 2019, followed by a question and answer session. The opening of the program was delivered by Mr. Iswandi bin Haji Junaidi, Head of Heritage Management Division, Sarawak Museum Department. Hopefully, this effort can foster a sense of shared responsibility in safeguarding heritage treasures for future generations.
Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) will conduct the Economic Census 2026 (BE2026). BE2026 is the sixth economic census, implemented every five years since 2000.
The census aims to collect comprehensive data covering all economic activities in the country, including the wholesale and retail trade sectors.
The implementation of BE2026 also covers business establishments as well as non-profit organisations. The data collected will serve as a vital reference to support more effective and sustainable national development planning.
