Sarawak Museum Department Integrity Talk Program Series 1 Year 2025
Monday, 07 July 2025 - The Sarawak Museum Department Integrity Talk Program Series 1 of 2025 was held on 07 July 2025 (Monday) at the Borneo Cultures Museum Auditorium. This program was led by Puan Norraha binti Abdul Rahim, Head of Research and Documentation Division, Sarawak Museum Department.
Two talk sessions were presented in conjunction with this program. The first talk titled 'Integrity and Corruption' was presented by Tn. Hamir bin Sakawi, Senior Assistant Superintendent from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the second talk titled 'Guidelines for Gift Management for Sarawak Public Service' was presented by En. Abang Nurfadli bin Abang Yusuf, Certified Integrity Officer (CeIO) from the Sarawak Integrity and Ombudsman Unit (UNIONS) of the Sarawak Premier's Department.
Among the objectives of this program are to increase awareness and understanding among department staff on the importance of cultivating integrity in the implementation of daily tasks, provide exposure to policies and regulations related to gift management in the public service, particularly as outlined in the Sarawak State Integrity Circular Number 1 of 2021, and avoid conflicts of interest and abuse of power by strengthening understanding of ethical boundaries.
