Friday, 25 April 2025 – The Sarawak Museum Department held the 2025 Appreciation & Kasih Warisan Night at the Grand Ballroom, Sheraton Hotel Kuching. 

The ceremony was officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts Sarawak and Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak.
Meanwhile, in his address, Yang Berhormat Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah stated that the organization of this ceremony aimed to recognize the excellent performance of officers and staff of the Sarawak Museum Department, convey appreciation to staff who retired and those who transferred to other departments, and celebrate close cooperation with strategic partners from various departments, agencies, institutions of higher learning, associations and non-governmental organizations who have supported the implementation of the program throughout 2024.
The ceremony continued with the presentation of appreciation to retired officers, officers who transferred departments, and the presentation of 2024 Excellent Service Award certificates to selected department staff. Entertainment performances from local and Peninsular Malaysian artists also enlivened the atmosphere. 

Also present were Her Excellency Datin Sri Hajah Zuraini Abdul Jabbar, Her Excellency Datuk Snowdan Lawan, Deputy Minister of Creative Industries and Performing Arts together with Her Excellency Datin Melinda Claudia Bucking, Her Excellency Senator Dato’ Ahmad bin Dato’ Sri Haji Ibrahim, Senator of the Senate, Datu Hii Chang Kee, Deputy State Secretary (Operations), and Datu Sherrina binti Hussaini, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts Sarawak.
