National Level Museum Innovation Student Inspiration Program (IPIM)
Wednesday, 25 June 2025 – The Kick Off Ceremony of the National Level Museum Innovation Inspiration Student Program (IPIM) organized by the Malaysian Museum Department in collaboration with the Ministry of Education Malaysia was broadcast live via the ZOOM application at the Function Room, Borneo Cultures Museum. The Sarawak Museum Department, which was also involved in this program, held a session of the program with 20 students and 2 accompanying teachers, namely Cikgu Nicole Anak Christi and Cikgu Liana Carrolyn Anak Arah from SM Sains Kuching, and both teachers are History subject instructors. Officials from the Sarawak Museum Department gave a briefing before the program began.
The Learning and Teaching (Teaching and Learning) session was conducted directly at the museum, giving students the opportunity to experience an interactive learning experience. In addition, they were also taken by the Curator of the Sarawak Museum Department to take a close look at objects and artifacts related to the History subject syllabus on display. After the visit, the students continued their involvement through group activities that encouraged discussion and collaboration.
Hopefully, this program can instill students' interest in the subject of History through learning experiences at the museum.
