Penang, 22 May 2024: The Closing Ceremony of the 2024 International Museum Day Festival was held at the Spice Convention Centre, Bayan Lepas. This ceremony was attended by His Excellency of Penang, Tun Dato' Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi Bin Haji Abdul Razak. The Minister of National Unity, YB Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang officiated the ceremony.

The Sarawak Museum Department has brought home the Round Cup (Gold) for the Sand Castle competition. Puan Nancy Hj Jolhi, Director of the Sarawak Museum Department received the trophy from YB Dato' Dr. Mohamad Bin Abdul Hamid, Deputy Chief Minister 1 of Penang. Overall, the sports contingent of the Sarawak Museum Department has managed to obtain 2 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 3 bronze medals.

Congratulations and well done to the contingent of the Sarawak Museum Department who have been involved in sports tournaments and exhibitions throughout the celebration of International Museum Day 2024.
