The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) of the British Museum and the Sarawak Museum Department located at the British Museum, London
Wednesday, 6 November 2024: In achieving the vision of becoming a center for global engagement of history and heritage by 2030, the Sarawak Museum Department has taken steps to achieve more collaborations at the international level. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Dr. Nicholas Cullinan, Director of the British Museum, and Mrs. Nancy Haji Jolhi, Director of the Sarawak Museum Department located at the British Museum, London. Many thanks to YB Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Sarawak's Minister of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts for witnessing the event.
Also present at the ceremony were Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industries and Performing Arts Sarawak (MTCP), Datu Sherrina binti Hussaini, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, and Datu Dr. Rashidah binti Haji Bolhassan.
As a symbol of the new relationship and collaboration between the Sarawak Museum Department and the British Museum, a souvenir exchange session was also held.
