Abstract:
On 23rd July 2010, a male of colugo was found dead at 1130 by Ishak Tarih (Sarawak Nature Guide) at Bako National Park (Sarawak). This appeared to be the first report of colugo fatality in Bako National Park. There was no sign of animal attack other than minor injury on the right hind foot, right ear and right eye presumably sustained when the colugo fell and hit the ground. Lim (2004) also found a few dead colugos in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve (Singapore) without any sign of injury. The measurements of the dead specimen from Bako National Park are: HB: 27.8 cm; T. 23.4 cm; E: 2.30 cm; HE: 5.90 cm; Wt: 850 g.
